Technology behind the noise cancelling
Dual noise sensor technology featuring two microphones on earcups, captures ambient noise and passes the data to the HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1. Noise cancelling is now processed in real time, for a wide range of acoustic environments. Working with a Bluetooth Audio SoC (System on Chip), the HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1 can sense and adapt performance to suit ambient noise, music signals and acoustic characteristics between driver and ear, at over 700 times per second.
Everyday convenience, just Speak-to-Chat**
As soon as you speak to someone, Speak-to-Chat automatically stops the music and lets in ambient sounds so you can conduct a conversation - handy if you want to keep your headphones on, or your hands are full.
All day power and quick charging
With up to 30 hours of battery life you'll have enough power even for long trips. And if you need to top up in a hurry, you can get up to 5 hours of music playback from only 10 minutes of charging*
Clearer hands-free calling
Conversation flows freely with easy, hands-free calling. Leave your phone where it is, just speak with a double tap. Thanks to precise voice pick up technology which combines five built in microphones with advanced audio signal processing, WH-1000M4 delivers clearer voice quality to the other person on the phone.
Headphones that react to you
A proximity sensor in the headphones can detect where you're wearing them or not, then adapts playback accordingly to help save battery power. Take off the headphones and the music pauses automatically. Put the headphones back on and the music automatically resumes.
Multipoint connection
For total convenience, WH-1000XM4 headphones can be paired with two Bluetooth devices at the same time. So, when a call comes in the headphones know which device is ringing and connects to the right one automatically.

Google Assistant/Amazon Alexa/Apple Siri functionality require headphone connect app and installation/use of respected voice assistant apps.
