Vinum is RIEDEL's basic varietal specific stemmed series. Designed in 1986 by 10th generation glassmaker Georg J. Riedel, Vinum was created to ensure every wine lover could afford varietal-specific glassware. Based on the handmade Sommeliers range, machine production means Vinum can be offered at a more accessible price.

The Cognac glass is perfect for providing the ideal tasting experience of Cognac: fruit, body, finesse, and fire.

Cognac is traditionally served in wide glasses like a Brandy Balloon, despite this shape's disadvantages for the enjoyment of Cognac. This finely tuned shape harmonizes aroma and taste, tempers alcohol and stringency of the palate, and emphasizes the bouquet. In addition, the flute-shaped glass allows its contents a minimal evaporation surface.
