Iole Rabasco is a former lawyer who has decided to become a vingneron and farmer and now produces crops from her property in Pianella. There is 4 ha of vines and olive trees and other crops. She is focussing on the major grapes of Montepulciano and Trebbiano. No synthetic treatments in the vineyards and slow gentle pressing and as natural as possible from earth to bottle.
The grapes come from a single vineyard called ¿Cancelli¿, 450m above sea level in the commune of Loreto Aprutino in the province of Pescara. The vineyard covers 4 hectares and the vines are all over 40 years of age and benefits from the Gran Sasso Mountain on one side and the Adriatic Sea on the other. Fermentation occurs spontaneously through indigenous yeasts and without temperature control in cement tanks.
