Neil Jericho made wine for over 35 years in Victoria, mainly in the Rutherglen and King Valley regions, interspersed with stints in Portugal. In this venture the whole family is in play, with wife Kaye, a vintage widow; eldest daughter Sally, who worked for Wine Australia for 10 years after working in the Clare Valley, then obtaining marketing and accounting degrees from the University of Adelaide; and son Andrew, who obtained his Bachelor of Oenology from the University of Adelaide (in 2003), having worked for 10 years in McLaren Vale, but then moved outside the square for experience at the highly regarded Grace Vineyard in the Shanxi Province of China. JAMES HALLIDAY

Textural wine with a punch of ripe flavour and nuttiness. There¿s a gunflint top note followed by a dried peppermint only suggesting a varietal herbal nuance.
