Gorelli is one of the newest wineries in Montalcino but the owner, Guiseppe, is no newcomer to the region. Born and raised in Montalcino, he worked with the grandmaster of Sangiovese, Guilo Gambelli at the Corzoni for 15 years before returning to the family business Du Portine. He then went on to establish the renowned Le Pottazine.
Aromas of tilled earth, leather and blue flower. Forest floor and whiffs of cake spice. Both elegant & earthy, the smooth palate delivers crushed black cherry, star anise, nutmeg and a earthy black truffle scent alongside lithe tannin before a minty close. 96 KERIN O¿KEEFE
