The Candialle estate is situated in the highly regarded Panzano sub-zone of the Chianti Classico and is the brainchild of Josephin Cramer and Jarkko Peränen. In total they have 6 hectares under vines and the vineyards are farmed in a pragmatically organic manner. One of the key points about this up-and-coming estate is that the vineyards are located in the Conco d'Oro (Golden Shell) area - an amphitheatre long considered one of Tuscany's "Grand Cru" sites. Adding to the quality here is the presence of the brilliant, Vittorio Fiore as winemaker. PWS

The 2021 Chianti Classico La Misse di Candialle is bright, bold and punchy. Dollops of Malvasia Nera and Canaiolo lend complexity.
