Bobar is a small family owned winery making pristine Yarra Valley wines grown on the hills around Yarra Glen. The vineyards lie on east-facing slopes where the fertile valley floor soils and the gravelly Christmas Hills intersect. The Bobar wines are meticulously farmed without synthetic pesticides and herbicides by dear friends at a couple of local Yarra Glen vineyards that we have long sourced our fruit from. We have a lifelong relationship with these places, exploring these unique Yarra Valley landscapes since childhood. Every day we learn a little more nuance and detail about their geology and soils, and their relationship to the wind, sun and rain. BOBAR WINES

The wines come as close to natural as possible, with whole bunches in an open fermenter, no crushing or destemming, no pigeage or pumping over, and no yeast. JAMES HALLIDAY
