PROFILE
Poliziano wines evoke the historic tradition of the land, but at the same time speak eloquently to the modern world. Theirs is a developing narrative: born in the early 1980's, they retain their original labels, but have matured and evolved over time, always with the objective of uncompromising quality. The heart of their wines comes primarily from Sangiovese grapes, known locally by its historic name, "Prugnolo Gentile".
TASTING NOTES
A very drinkable and versatile Chianti. ¿Deepish red colour with purple tints. The bouquet is clean and fresh with nicely ripened red cherry and a little spice and dried herb; the palate firm and taut with good grip and structure, if a little firm in the finish. There are lots of tannins, and it would go better with food, but they are good ripe tannins. A deep, powerful, well-structured and very long wine.¿ Huon Hooke, Reviewer of Fairfax Media.
