Our success has been driven by a lineage of visionary winemakers. It began with Dr Christopher and Mary Penfold, the pioneers who dreamed big, inventing tonics, brandies, and fortified wines made from grapes and Australian sunshine. It continued with Alf Vesey, Ray Beckwith and Max Schubert, celebrated winemaking legends who pushed our development to extraordinary, bold new heights.

Since the first experimental vintages, the mandate for Grange has remained the same ¿ to craft Australia¿s greatest red wine from the best shiraz fruit of the vintage. This ambition drives its impeccable consistency, with each release revealing subtle distinctions. Shiraz (97%), Cabernet Sauvignon (3%). Ripe blackberries/blackcurrant reduction, laced with spices - notably fennel and aniseed. Dark chocolate and cola. Familial flavours of deconstructed Black Forest cake - chocolate, custard, wild raspberry. An assortment of fresh red and black liquorice, omnipresent and even tannins. A confluence of tannin/acidity/oak/fruit - all joyously meshed together. Truly 'alive', upon sitting and with air, all transforms. Can definitely wait.
