CREATION

Poivre Samarcande is inspired by one of perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena's memories: "An oak tree used to grow in front of my house. Eventually, it had to be felled. The peppery, musky and slightly smoky scent of the cut wood became etched in my memory." 

OLFACTORY NOTES 

Woody and vibrant, Poivre Samarcande offers a fiery black pepper softened by a smooth, mossy oak. An Hermessence suitable for both men and women. 

THE OBJECT

The Poivre Samarcande bottle is showcased by a burnt-pepper-colored lacquer on the glass and leather cap. 

ETHICS

The 100 ml and 200 ml sizes can be replenished from the 200 ml refill. A responsible gesture, integral to an object created to last. 

THE HERMÈS DETAIL 

The house's emblematic "lantern" bottle constitutes a unique and timeless signature. Its leather cap with saddle-stitch signature is topped with an engraved Hermès saddle nail.

"A massive, beautiful oak tree once grew in front of my house, blocking our view of the Mediterranean. Eventually, it grew ill and was felled. The peppery, musky, slightly smoky scent of the cut wood etched itself on my memory. The soul of the old oak, mixed with pepper, lives on in this fragrance.
