Brand history:
Established in 1985, Cloudy Bay was one of the first five wine makers to venture into Marlborough. At the time, it was almost an unimaginable place to set-up a vineyard. But Cloudy Bay's founder - David Hohnen - was convinced of its potential to produce great wine and invested in the best land of the region. Since then, Marlborough has risen to become New Zealand's leading wine region, as well as one of the finest winemaking locations in the world.

How to enjoy:
Cloudy Bay Pinot Noir is the perfect wine to take when you don't know what's for dinner or enjoyed at sunset, with aged slices of prosciutto and good friends. Versatile and food-friendly, it has a signature silky elegance. A benchmark Marlborough wine, Cloudy Bay Pinot Noir is proof that Marlborough's climate and clay soils make it much more than a one-grape region.

Tasting notes:
Cherry in colour. The bouquet gives off subtle rose notes which bloom in the background together with sweet spice. Taut in structure with supple tannin and crunchy acidity. The complexity builds upon tasting with earthen notes of graphite, smoke and toasty oak characters

Food Pairing:
This wine would match well with sliced prosciutto, sweet and sticky pork ribs, duck with cherries and red wine vinegar or duck confit with mushroom sauce and roasted potatoes.
