CONVERSATIONAL OBJECTS Cutlery Set
ALESSI X VIRGIL ABLOH: In Conversational Objects, Virgil Abloh imagines the table as the theatre for dialogue and conversation at the intersection between tradition and good cuisine. The designer rethinks cutlery in the modern meaning of the term: simple, non-discriminating, almost brutal.
Following his interest in tradition and good food, Virgil Abloh designed Conversational Objects as "toolsets for the dining table". This set, produced in matt-finish stainless steel, is paired with a cutlery holder with a similarly opaque finish to resemble a threaded bolt. Reinforcing the connection between industrial assembly and design, the set will need to be assembled by its owner.
Cutlery set composed of 4 spoons, four forks, four knives, four small spoons in
Materials: 18/8 stainless steel
