Since 2005, VEJA has been creating sneakers in a different way, mixing social projects, economic justice, and ecological materials.

VEJA uses Brazilian and Peruvian organic cotton for the canvas and laces, Amazonian rubber for the soles, and various innovative materials conceived in recycled plastic bottles or recycled polyester. 

VEJA sneakers are produced in high-standard factories in Brazil.

O.T. (Organic Traced) Leather 

Comes from 100% organic certified farms in Uruguay, a country known for its culture of animal husbandry and the quality of the leather. It is the softest and finest of our leathers coming from bovines. This type of leather under- goes a mechanical beating process makes it fine and bendable. Tanned in Brazil using less dyes than our conventional bovine leather. VEJA uses conventional dyes that comply with regulations. Special attention is paid to water during the tanning process. 

Nearly all laces used in the VEJA collections are made of 100% organic cotton. Our organic cotton is GOTS certified and produced under fair trade principles.
