Born in Belgium, Dries Van Noten is the third generation in a family of tailors, following in his fathers footsteps who created one of Belgium’s most innovative retailers of ‘Pret-a-Porter’. Dries entered the fashion industry at the age of 17, and soon after began the self-titled brand which has presented collections for women and men for Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter each year, since 1986. Dres was impassioned with the power of flair and style for both women and men that fired his quest to explore and question the subjectivity of “beauty”, and the role it plays in our lives.
